Privacy Statement

How ER Drybulk B.V. handles personal data when you visit this website or send us an inquiry.

1. Who is responsible?

ER Drybulk B.V., Veerkade 9A, 3016 DE Rotterdam, the Netherlands, decides which personal data is processed through this website and why.

2. What data do we collect and why?

Inquiry form. Your name, email address and message. We use these only to answer your inquiry. The message is delivered by email to chartering@erdrybulk.com, together with the IP address it was sent from (to help recognise spam).

Website visits (Google Analytics). Which pages you view, how you found the site, your type of device and browser and your approximate location (country or city). We also count clicks on buttons such as email links and form submissions, but not what you type. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve it. We do not see names or contact details of visitors. Analytics is not linked to advertising, and Google signals (linking with Google accounts) is switched off.

Technical data. The server logs your IP address, browser and the time of each visit. This is needed for security, to fix errors and to prevent abuse of the inquiry form (your IP address is kept for a few hours to limit the number of messages per hour).

The legal basis is your request (you ask us to contact you) and our legitimate interest in a secure, well-functioning website. We also use Google Analytics on the basis of our legitimate interest: understanding how the site is used, with as little data as possible.

3. Cookies

Only Google Analytics places cookies (names starting with _ga). This website uses no other cookies. You can refuse or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics completely, you can use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

4. Who helps us and who do we share data with?

  • Maestro Network (Rotterdam) builds, hosts and maintains this website. The server is located in Germany (EU). Messages from the inquiry form are sent through the mail server of Maestro Network.
  • Google provides Google Analytics. Google may also process this data outside the EU.

We never sell your data.

5. How long do we keep data?

  • Inquiries received by email: no longer than needed to handle your inquiry. If you want us to delete it sooner, just email us.
  • Google Analytics: data per visitor 2 months.
  • Server logs: 14 days.
  • Encrypted backups: up to 12 months.

6. Security
